OMG what is going to happen to this country. We now have a government voted in by 20% of the voting public and they are determined to throw everything out and restart – not in a good way either. Rachel Reeves – changing the planning laws – obviously she doesn’t live anywhere its going to affect her way of life. She wants to live in an area that’s being destroyed by over-planning. In West Sussex we have homes growing all over the area like fungus on a hot and damp day. We are subjected to new housing estates and residential care homes by the dozen, all in a 20 mile radius. Even to the extent where they are building on floodplains – doesn’t bode well does it?

And why? Because the dummy’s passing the building applications from companies like Cala Homes, Berkley Homes etc are probably giving the councillors gifts (well I’ll call them gifts) like a box at Brighton & Hove Football Club. Also the dummy’s passing these applications actually don’t live in an area where its going to affect them to the extent where the sewage system is overloaded because it hasn’t been renewed or updated for over 60 years, and is flooding peoples gardens or worse still rising up into their toilets!! They don’t get affected by the rising groundwater, which used to drain from the chalk Downs onto the floodplain, which has been there since eternity. Because they don’t have the impact of these things affecting their lives they don’t give a shit about you and I.

Rachel Reeves may be good at her sums (doubtful because she hasn’t costed what its going to cost us, the taxpayer) but she plagiarises other peoples work – that smacks of cheating, and who wants a cheat dealing with the country’s finances??

Sorry guys, but this country is very quickly going to the dogs. No government has come up with a safe and secure way to save our NHS. Its easy. First, every medical student at university will leave with no debt, yes that’s right they get their university education for free (should be for all students taking a worthwhile degree), but for that they sign up to the the NHS for a minimum of 15 years before they practice in the private sector. Second, no nurse needs to go to university. Tony Blair really fucked up when he decided that all students should have the chance to go to university. Most students haven’t got the brains to go to university to study something that is going to benefit the country, community or even themselves. Taking a degree should mean they have something worthwhile to put back into society. Nursing means just that, nursing. Who the hell needs a degree in that. Years ago, under the tuition of matrons and sisters on the wards our nurses learnt to a high degree and carried on learning to become superb nurses. Now you’ll find them at a nurses station looking up where to go on holiday. Also if anyone out there thinks they are on the breadline, forget it, they are not. Also, they chose to become nurses, just like doctors who are on strike, nobody forced them into the job, they chose it.

So junior doctors get back to work and accept a reasonable pay rise, nurses get off your arses and work instead of being martyrs. Since Covid you seem to think you are so precious, you are not. Because Boris Johnson said protect the NHS, he did not mean for every person with any kind of medical job to run for the hills and abandon everyone. Two of my friends died due to clinics not being open because oncologists ran for the hills and they were not diagnosed earlier enough to receive treatment.

So in a nutshell I’ve solved the NHS problem without throwing more money at it. Rachel Reeves see if you can do better.
