Why, why, why don’t drivers use their indicators anymore????

I think I’m a fairly competent driver, being doing it for 35+ years, have no points on my licence and try hard to take into account others on the road, except cyclists, who are selfish, dangerous, unlicensed and have no insurance, even though they use the same road as me.

I’ve noticed since the end of lockdown drivers are so bloody selfish, thoughtless and dangerous. The amount of drivers that pull out of side roads without slowing down or even looking to see if anything is coming their way. The times I’ve had to slam on my brakes to avoid these numbnuts. Then there’s the ones who think everyone else has ESP. We don’t you know. I have no idea that you’re going to turn off, but you brake and turn, and when you’re in the process of turning you indicate!!!! How long ago did you take your test? You indicate so that the indicators blink for at least (minimum) three times before you start to brake and turn.

I have a fighting chance if I know there’s a road they can turn into, but this morning a VW started braking, no road to turn into then stopped on the road, THEN and only then did they indicate. Then there’s the idiots who think using their mobile is acceptable. IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE IN ANY FORM OR FASHION. If you can’t concentrate on the road and the task in hand, how can you have a conversation and concentrate on the road ahead?

FFS get real people. I bet you all see a lot of accidents in your rear view mirrors. Well believe it or not you cause them.

I know its a joke that BMW’s don’t have indicators, but unfortunately its not just them, every make of car seems to be missing that vital part.

You selfish lot are the reason I have dashcams fitted to my car, for my safety and the fact that every move you or I make is recorded, and can be handed to the police.

If you can’t indicate, don’t drive. If you can’t keep to the speed limit, don’t drive. If you can’t value other peoples lives, don’t drive. If you’re over 80 and can’t see over the steering wheel, don’t drive.

On a very serious note, if you have a relative or a friend whom you consider dangerous when they are driving, report them. I don’t care if they’re old, young, middle aged, if they are driving dangerously, then report them to the police, their insurance company and the DVLA. They will not only kill themselves eventually, but some innocent bystander. Be a considerate, thinking human being and protect the rest of us.
