I’ve never had a Facebook account, as I considered social media to be a bane on the lives of most people. Since I started writing my blog, it seemed that a FB account may be a good idea. Wrong!!

It’s the most invasive thing out there. You’re bombarded with useless advertisements, stupid and inept videos of people’s babies, animals and idiotic stunts. Who is finding these things entertaining? Other people with nothing else in their lives that’s who.

If you’ve got a life as in work, friends (not FB friends who actually are not your friends) family, hobbies why do you need to look at people’s indifferent lives on a social media outlet entertaining others who don’t have a life?

It’s intrusive because was designed to capture you. Short bursts of video, enough to capture the brains of those who can’t entertain themselves with something useful. Works on the same basis as soap operas – short scenes of no longer than 45 seconds because the concentration span of most idiots watching them can’t exceed the 45 seconds without getting bored. These are the people who never settle down to work properly, never studied at school because their concentration wouldn’t allow it.

The problem starts at a very young age, where parents deem that their child must be entertained and they plot their entire day for them. No, children must be allowed free time to entertain themselves, where they have to make up games with their toys, even get into trouble, because without that how do they learn to do things on their own?

So because of FB I’ve decided to opt out and closed my account – 153 junk emails this morning was just too much, and this only started when I opened a FB account. I’m not going to be part of the brainwashing media sites, who actually control peoples lives.

Mark Zuckerberg, you should be held accountable for the lack of imagination in kids today. Hope you’re happy with the millions you’ve made of these suckers.
