All refreshed and back from holiday. Week away with 2 siblings, their partners and 3 dogs. That was great, except I decided to trip over in a car park and split my eyebrow, bruised my hand, jolted my elbow and shoulder. So sporting a black eye, superglued eyebrow and pain in my hand. The black eye is at that green/yellow stage. Good job I wear glasses, it disguises it somewhat.

I hate the bit of getting back home. The unpacking, putting things away because you’re not going away again for some months, and of course the laundry. I had great ideas about putting it all on the line and drying it, but of course the weather had other ideas. I managed to dry some outside, but the rest in the drying pod and tumble drier.

Nice to see that nothing much changes. The government are still upsetting people, and after Rachel Reeves budget there’s going to be more people upset. Question – Why did Kier Starmer’s wife, who is a millionaire, accept Lord Ali’s gift of paying for her clothes, before and after the election? Why would another man’s wife accept that type of gift from another man? There’s something weird about that. Surely Kier Starmer has more sense than to accept another man paying for his wife’s clothes?

Also the government have been generous in letting prisoners out before they’ve completed 40% of their sentence. Why has no new prisons been built to accommodate our ever growing prison population? Do each government think they’ve solved the crime? Don’t think so, every year violent crimes grow, shoplifting is at its worse ever, sex crimes are up and still no new prisons. This government can’t send illegal immigrants to Rwanda, but they can propose sending our offenders to prisons abroad. What’s the sense in that?

We also don’t have a police force that’s fit for purpose. They are so determined to be “woke”, criminals know the chance of them being prosecuted is almost nil. Mind you, remember its the CPS that prosecutes, not the police. They were once headed by Kier Starmer – says it all really doesn’t it.
